Seasonal menus, offer a wide variety of traditional dishes, belonging to Tuscany and the other Italian regions, made with genuine products, some bio, other gathered in our lands or bought by local producers, with huge attention to their origin and quality.
The meat of the butcher shop of San Quirico d’Orcia, the cheese of some local farmer and fruits, vegetables from the nearby Maremma, well represent our passion in bringing to the table only certified high quality products, fragrant and genuine.
The restaurant La Vecchia Posta is always open and welcomes its guests from lunch to dinner time. In the afternoon, it offers delicious snacks to the guests, relaxing at the pool or in the gardens, or to who is coming back from a tiring excursion and wants to refresh with some traditional food.
During the winter period, the restaurant offers its service in a refined and relaxing Salon inside the relais, whereas, during the better season, everyone can enjoy lunch outside, with hills’ view, surrounded by the relaxing atmosphere of the green gardens and the sound of nature.
The summer nights, under the starry sky, with the river Orcia undertone and some refined jazz music played live, you can have dinner with traditional dishes such as the Peposo, the Pappa al Pomodoro and the unmissable Florentine Chianina steak, certified-bred.
To go with lunches and dinners, the list of our local and prestigious wine selection – Brunello di Montalcino, the Nobile of Montepulciano and the Orcia DOC – and other high quality wines coming from various Italian regions.
Moreover, the Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil, on the table and used in the kitchen, fresh home made daily pasta, and dry pasta from a famous pasta factory of Pisa, family run, honey from the Monte Amiata, Saffron cultivated and produced in San Quirico d’Orcia and Montalcino, jams and fruit marmalades locally produced, among those, ours.
